To celebrate the companies on the leading edge of email marketing, Intuit Mailchimp, in partnership with Fast Company, is announcing a new global awards program called the Forward Awards. Recognizing the outstanding work of Mailchimp customers, the Forward Awards honor the most innovative and successful campaigns of the year and the people responsible for them.
“The Forward Awards were born out of a desire to create an opportunity to celebrate our customers and their best-in-class marketing,” says Megan Spellman, director of brand marketing at Intuit Mailchimp. “Given the remarkable innovation and creativity displayed by our customers, this platform serves as an ideal stage to showcase their work to a global audience.”
Spellman sees the Forward Awards filling a gap in the awards scene by focusing exclusively on email marketing. “While existing awards focus on marketing or creativity, the Forward Awards uniquely intertwine the two,” she says.

Today’s most creative marketing teams are making use of tools such as AI-driven segmentation and automation to strengthen customer relationships, drive traffic, and unlock growth. The Forward Awards are intended not only to highlight remarkable success stories of individual Mailchimp users, but also to demonstrate to marketers how tools such as these can help them hone their craft in a competitive market.

Award submissions will be judged by a panel of expert marketers, including Rania Succar, CEO Intuit Mailchimp; Ken Chestnut, chief ecosystem officer, Intuit Mailchimp; Mark Ritson, former marketing professor, journalist, and brand consultant; and Ben Baer, vice president and executive editor, FastCo Works. Entrants will compete for awards in four categories:
- The Outstanding Personalization Award recognizes a marketing team for its success in executing a Mailchimp-powered email campaign that targets customers at scale.
- The Best Revenue-Driving Campaign Award celebrates the team that has used Mailchimp to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- The Most Engaged Audience Award honors a team that has built a loyal and active audience through its Mailchimp campaign.
- The Marketing Innovator of the Year Award will go to the individual or team that has demonstrated superior creativity to deliver exceptional campaign results.
Winners will receive a Forward Awards winners trophy, an opportunity to participate in a sponsored virtual IF360 Award Winners Panel, recognition in a custom article on fastcompany.com, Mailchimp-sponsored media promotion including a dedicated case study to be published on mailchimp.com, and a custom social toolkit and digital badge.
